THE Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament has become a regular fixture at the Aussie Millions.
And among the big winners at the Crown in Melbourne this year was, er, Joe Hachem.
The 2005 World Champion, who boasts $11.3m in live winnings, came third in his own tournament to win a seat to this year's Aussie Millions Main Event, worth AUD10,000 ($10,300).
And to really rub salt in the wounds of the hundreds of assembled players and celebrities - each of whom paid a AUD 1,000 to enter the tournament - Warne ALSO picked up a belting prize.
The 42-year-old cosmetic surgery denier finished eighth, winning a ticket to the Aussie Millions Supershot satellite and a cricket ball signed by (wait for it...) Shane Warne!
The pair, who run the event to raise cash for seriously ill and underprivileged children in Australia, will doubtless donate their winnings to the excellent cause.
Still, even so chaps, winning prizes at your own tournament? It's just not cricket.
