Poker News February 9, 2011 The WPT Venice Main Event 2011 has been won by Italian Alessio Isaia after a staggering eight hours of heads-up play against Szabolcs Mayer.
The 24-year-old, who led the tournament at the Casino di Venezia from the very start, pockets €380,000 and a WPT bracelet for the win - the biggest of his career to date.

WPT Venice: David Vamplew leads the hunt
Poker News February 8, 2011 THE WPT Venice 2011 is being dominated by Scotsman David Vamplew with just eight players left in the Main Event.
The 23-year-old from Edinburgh, who won the £900,000 EPT London last year, is a huge chip leader heading into the final day with a stack of 4.1million.
