IF you want to play megabucks poker but don't have the bankroll, a new idea could help you on your way to your first million.
Pokerstars has launched its first ever 'poker quiz' with winners gaining free entry to the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event, which has a guaranteed prize pool of a staggering $10m.
This year's WCOOP begins at PokerStars.com on September 5, and culminates in the $5,200 Main Event on September 26 and to have a chance of a free seat you have to answer 101 poker-related questions.
So, if you know which poker hand is known as a boat or what links Jason Alexander and Bill Chen - and let's be honest, we don't - you could soon be in the money.
Even if you don't win, runners up will be entered into an exclusive WCOOP Poker Quiz freeroll on September 18, which offers a second chance to qualify. The last player standing in that tournament will win entry to the WCOOP Main Event, with entries to other WCOOP events on offer to the final nine.
The first player to answer all the questions correctly will win a direct buy in to the WCOOP Main Event, where he or she will be pitted against the finest online players in the game.
Last year's WCOOP Main Event was won by Yevgeniy 'Jovial Gent' Timoshenko, who pocketed a tidy $1.7m. We thought we'd share that - just in case the question pops up...
