Isildur1 is to go head-to-head with Daniel Negreanu in an online poker clash.
The two pros, who are both sponsored by PokerStars, will fight it out in a SuperStar Challenge which will be spread across two consecutive weekends.
It will begin on March 20 for 2,500 hands of No Limit Hold’em across four tables at stakes no lower than $50/$100, and will continue the following Sunday - March 27 - for another 2,500 hands of high stakes heads-up action.
The players will bring $150,000 to the tables for the entire challenge and the stacks will not be reset at the half-way stage.
As with previous challenges, the winner will be the player who shows a profit at the end of the match, or wins all of their opponent’s match bankroll. PokerStars launched the SuperStar Showdown challenge earlier this year after unmasking online sensation Isilsur1 as Swede Viktor Blom.
The 20-year-old played five matches in the series and won four of them, only losing the first by $41,701 to Isaac ‘philivey2694’ Haxton.
He bounced back with wins against Tony G ($44,280), Daniel 'Jungleman12' Cates ($44,280), Eugene ‘MyRabbiFoo’ Katchalov ($111.750) and online qualifier Attila “Dodgyfish27” Gulcsik, although after 2,500 hands he only took $10 off the Hungarian.
