The Bluff Reader's Choice Awards include a prominent nomination for Bluff Magazine

Bluff Magazine has released its nominations for this year's Reader's Choice Awards.

The annual gong-giving includes categories such as Favourite Poker Hostess, Funniest Poker Twitterer (strangely, the hilarious Poker Jolt Twitter page wasn't even nominated) and Moment of the Year.

Among the less surprising nominations is....Bluff Magazine in the Best Poker Forum category.

According to the official nominations the Bluff forum: "Offers users more than just a place to discuss what’s going on in our magazine and on our website (which is awesome in its own right), but we’ve also got places to talk home games, poker on TV, and whatever else is on our readers’ minds."

Nice to see they're so openly impartial.

Other nominees include TwoPlusTwo.com, which even Bluff admits is the preferred destination for most forum posters: "TwoPlusTwo continues to be the spot to find out juicy gossip before the poker news media can even pick it up, but don’t forget about the other sections of the popular forum which includes everything from MTT strategy to cash game tips to backgammon."

FullContactPoker.com - on Daniel Negreanu’s site - and the new version of PocketFives.com also get a mention.

The funniest Twitterer nominations go to lunatic and close friend of Poker Jolt @TheScottyNguyen as well as @DanBilzerian, @Erik_Seidel, @TexDolly and @TheMouthMatusow.

And Moment of the Year voters have to choose between Tom Dwan finishing as runner-up in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em at the WSOP, Phil Ivey winning his 8th WSOP Bracelet, Michael Mizrachi winning the Player's Championship and Annie Duke landing the NBC Heads-Up Event.

Lance Bradley, Editor in Chief of Bluff, said: "We want to give poker fans something to talk about, argue about and vote on.

"Some of the categories from year’s past are gone and we’ve brought in some fresh ones, like Favorite Poker Hostess and Breakthrough Performance of the Year.

Voting is open now and will remain open until January 16, 2011. To vote in any of the 14 categories, just click here.
